NEW YORK – Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness the growth in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. “The United States has been the most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. In line with in the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourism numbers in Israel with 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

We anticipate that this increase will continue as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.
Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country’s officially reopening to travelers in May has seen more than 600,000.
