NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from 2019 and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He said, “It’s so exciting to once more see an rise in tourism to Israel from the United States, and already exceeding or even surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019”. “The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers every month. We’re extremely pleased to witness this positive change and anticipate a steady upswing for the months and years to come.”
